Shaddai MSM Initiative
Shaddai Mission: Strengthening the health and well-being of gay men.
Shaddai Vision: Gay men building healthy lives together.
Shaddai Values: We value gay men’s ability to make informed decisions. We value the role of our communities. We value scientific research. We value a non-judgmental, sex-positive, and strengths-based philosophy. We value a comprehensive approach to healthy living. We value capacity building and collaboration. Gay men and men who have sex with men (MSM) are the group most affected by HIV/AIDS in the world.
Many campaigns have been targeted to this group to address prevention strategies, confront challenges with stigma and discrimination, and to build on the strong knowledge base they already have.
The overall objective of this project is to reduce the adverse effects stigma has on HIV prevention, testing, access to treatment among gay, bisexual and two-spirit men as well as trans people, and to raise awareness about the U=U message, through an anti-stigma campaign.
